Why sustainhourability?

I have been involved in education for the majority of my career including gaining and achieving qualifications along the way. I specialised in learning difficulties as my older sister, Sally, who had Downs Syndrome inspired me to do what I knew best. She left us before reaching her 40th birthday and from that day forward I knew that there was something else in me, something that I hadn’t yet discovered.

I have been transitioning away from face to face education delivery for the past 4 years but have continued to develop and gain many new transferable skills. I don’t see myself as being on the bottom rung of the ladder. Rather now supporting a high number of provisions all uniquely different across the whole of Dorset. I have taken steps up the ladder and act strategically, with a wide variety of partner and organisations making decisions that impact as many professionals, provisions and young people as possible.

On this journey I remember and recall my time travelling the world with my future wife & way before any inkling of a family. My note book and scribbles where I created and developed the early stages of the ‘eco-bus’. First rung of the ladder – delivering face to face workshop sessions to young people around the country about environment and sustainable issues.

Now is the time, half way up the ladder, now is the hour.

Make every hour count, sustainhourability.

Connecting young people with businesses, for schools and their future.
